The Zillertal offers over 350 km of hiking trails, ranging from leisurely walks to high-alpine summit treks. The Bachweg trail, ideal for walking and jogging, runs right behind the Private Homes. In addition, there are three guided tours a week, five summer mountain cable cars, a hiking taxi and the Zillertal Alps Nature Park.
Yes. Hiking equipment can be hired free of charge by guests at the Hotel Tuxerhof. As part of the activities programme, the hiking bus in the Tux Valley can also be used free of charge.
The Zillertal offers 800 km of cycle paths and single tracks covering all levels of difficulty. The Hotel Tuxerhof provides an e-bike hire service, a bike garage and a bike wash area. The programme includes three guided e-bike tours per week, the ‘Staying Safe on the Mountain’ technical training course, and a free e-bike test on Mondays.
Yes. The Hintertux Glacier is open 365 days a year. The panoramic terrace is situated at 3,250 metres, and glacier walks are possible even in summer.
Options include via ferrata, rafting, canyoning, paragliding and golf, amongst others. Families love the adventure playgrounds, the Arena Coaster and the Flying Fox, which runs for 600 metres along the Schlegeis dam at a height of 131 metres. The birds of prey show is also popular.
The Alpine brunch takes place in the hotel’s 250-year-old chalet, overlooking the Tux Alps. The menu features freshly grilled dishes, a traditional Austrian platter and apricot cake, accompanied by drinks such as beer or Prosecco. The Alpine brunch is part of the Tuxerhof activity programme.
